Scholarship & Tuition Assistance

Tuition at Holy Family School is made affordable. To be considered for discounted tuition, families must apply to FACTS Grant & Aid. Please contact the school office for more details at 810.694.9072 ext. #100.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications and nominations are due no later than March 1 and scholarships will be awarded in May.

If you are applying for a scholarship that is based on financial need,  applicants can complete the online form by clicking the FACTS link here:  https://online.factsmgt.com/aid . There is a $30.00 fee payable to FACTS through their online application process.

*The DOL aid is only for grades 6-8 and grades 9-11. However, HFS requires a FACTS Grant & Aid application on file to be eligible for HFS Scholarships, HFS financial aid, HF Parish High School subsidy (grades 9-12).

The link will be available December 1 and will close April 1.  The deadline for applications is March 1.  After March 1. please contact your school directly. Once the FACTS online form has been completed, the following information will need to be submitted to FACTS online, by fax, or mail to complete the financial assistance process:

Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules and W2’s.
Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.

All supporting documentation can be uploaded online through the FACTS online form or can be faxed to 1-866-315-9264 or mailed to the address below.  Please be sure to include the applicant ID on all faxed or mailed correspondence.

Holy Family Parish Scholarship (Nominations Only)

This scholarship will be awarded each year and is open to all students K-8th grade. The Holy Family Parish Scholarship is for a student from K-8th grade who exhibits outstanding leadership and whose greatest talents are to inspire and motivate through faith and Christian values. This scholarship is supported by the Holy Family Parish. To nominate a student for this scholarship please pick up a form in the school office or download online and return to Ann (Yochim) Tabereaux ’92 in the Advancement Office.

Fr. Bush Student Scholarship (Application Only)

This scholarship named after Fr. Bush, the founder of our church and school, will be awarded annually to a student K-8th grade who has a record of academic achievement, has conducted himself/herself with the highest integrity, has demonstrated a financial need, is likely to be a leader in the classroom and the community and is inspired and motivated by their Catholic faith and Christian values. To apply, in 300 words or less explain how Holy Family has prepared you to be a successful student. Include topics of Faith, Academics, Service and Leadership. To apply for this scholarship please pick up an application in the school office or download online and return to Ann (Yochim) Tabereaux ’92 in the Advancement Office.

Sr. Sharon Hektor Scholarship Fund (Application Only)

A scholarship has been established in recognition of Sr. Sharon’s 50 years as a Sister of St. Joseph. Sr. Sharon has well over 40 years of service to Holy Family School. The Sr. Sharon Scholarship is granted to a sixth, seventh or eighth grade student, who is in financial need for the second half of the school year. They must be an active server or reader at Mass, and must exemplify the characteristics of an outstanding student who volunteers their time outside of school in helping others. To apply for the Sr. Sharon Scholarship students must:

Be a current student at HFS in fifth, sixth or seventh grade.
Be an active server or reader at Mass
Write an essay (300 words or less) as to why attending HFS is important to them, what they have gained thus far by being a HFS student and what outside activities they participate in make them eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Music Ministry Scholarship (Application Only)

Music is an important part of our Catholic faith and liturgy. It is a way to actively participate in our worship. Holy Family School students begin to participate in our Children’s Choir in third grade. This scholarship was established by Drs. Simon and Sia Lee to aid a Holy Family School choir student in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. The yearly minimum offered in this scholarship is $500.00.

To apply for the Music Ministry scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
Must be in 6th, 7th, or 8th  grade
A member of the Children’s Choir (minimum of 3 years)
In academic good standing
In good standing with their current tuition obligation
Write a 300 word or less essay on why they enjoy being a member of the Holy Family Children’s Choir, how being a part of the Choir enhances their faith and their future plans on continuing their music ministry.

Holy Family School has other scholarships that will be awarded based on need. To be considered for the following scholarships, students MUST have a PSAS on file. Students will be notified in May if they have been awarded one of the following scholarships.

Tuition Assistance is available from the Diocese of Lansing and is based on financial need.
